Whether it was the wagging of tails, the piggy-back rides for the dog walk, tasty vegan treats, awesome music, or the chance to mingle and share stories with fellow dog lovers, Go Humane Cincinnati 2009 was a fun time for all.  Dozens of supporters came out for the event on Saturday, May 16th at The Annex in Oakley.  Businesses and residents alike were happy to see the dog walk parade through Oakley and stopped us with questions about our cause as well as claps and cheers, and even treats for our doggies.  A threatening weather forecast couldn’t keep people away as members of Oakley, Hyde Park, Mason, Northern Kentucky, and Anderson, enjoyed Go Humane Cincinnati.

Our featured guest, Animal Friends Humane Society was staffed by wonderful volunteers who brought their pet mobile along with a beautiful group of adoptable dogs ranging from the baby aussie/border collie puppies to the elegant Holly, a 2 year old collie mix. 

Thanks to the shelter volunteers, shelter Director Meg Stephenson, Crossroads Go Cincinnati volunteers, event sponsors, vendors, and the Two Rivers Middle School “Walking Catfish” humane teen club, Go Humane Cincinnati raised $2,500 for Animal Friends Humane Society, and six dogs were adopted!
